That's great to hear, they are of the same cloth. Anything to get her away from Daniel Lanois. I thought he killed her honesty of voice with all his "production values". 2 years ago I bought her Anthology 2 CD set, I put it on regularly. With Mark's guitar work and songs they could be great together. I'll certainly buy it. Bet it'll be HDCD as the rest of his solo stuff is.

Hi . Many thanks Bob .I adore Emmylou, saw her at the Symphony Hall in Brum' a few years ago. I need to find one of the smaller venues on the European tour (I don't like the vast arenas).

Cheers Dave

Thanks for the heads up on this! I just reserved good places at the Zenith concert in Paris, June 12th. Don't know if that counts as a smaller venue :-), but it's smaller than Bercy and up to 6400 people or 5800 all seated, or so this link says:

Booked the tickets via the Mark Knopfler Website, but it linked to www.fnac.com

All The Roadrunning released last monday.
Seems to be good on first listening, a mixture of country/folk/blues and pop.

It has arrived and it is great. Mark Knopfler and Emmylou may not be the most intuitive pairing, but they certainly work well together. Country, certainly; with that great, gritty Knopfler guitar sound.
