iTunes "Genius" - Do you rate it?

I've just upgraded to iTunes 8 and with it, the new "Genius" smart playlists. Thus far, I'm intrigued but not yet really impressed. As "they" (Jobs' Army) claim it's an emergent, learning algorithm, I'm prepared to give it some time. What do others think? What are your experiences? Does it offer a new way to explore our music in ways we might not otherwise have discovered?
Disclaimer: I am a passionate believer in the album as a unit of artistic expression. I don't do singles nor greatest hits albums and always feel a bit guilty if I don't listen to an album the whole way through. I never use "shuffle", but will listen movie soundtracks and live albums.
