Muchachos
Dropped into Martin Kleiser to pick up a black SNAIC ( celebrating Man U 3 - Juve 0 ) and could not help noticing two new, and VAST, loudspeakers. Enthusiastic as ever, the manager Colin Macey gave me a quick demo, via the hard drive server ( heresy!! ), and mid - upper range Linn power amps. Played tracks by Bjork and Norah Jones.
In short, these speakers are stunning. Complete control over the music, effortless delivery, incredibly fast and transparent, and as someone once said, bass from where the Balrog lives. The bass is like nothing I have ever heard - or felt - before. Sitting in a big room with two of us on a large sofa, the furniture was resonating.
I heard the DBLs on saturday; an incredibly melodic presentation and very different music played so I cannot compare the two - but wow, the Komri has got to be some kind of benchmark. They make Isobariks sound anaemic.
But at £25000
a pair, they should.
