Good Credit Cards

Well obviously they are all bad but can any one recommend a good one?
I heard on the radio last month Texaco Credit card would have 0% interest on balance transfers for the life of the debt, but it says 5.% now so obviously that ones gone.

Hi gazza,
Keep an eye out for Halifax promtions - sometimes they offer 0% finance on purchases over 9 months. Usually it's 6 months.
I've been offered that twice now, but then you have to remember that when the 9 months is up all you're left with is (yet another) standard bloody credit card with all the interest that entails!
Cheers,
Jon

garyi,
why not buy the Saturday edition of the Guardian and have a look through money and jobs section where they list the best of everything so that weekend readers may anticipate the joys, pleasures and piles of extra cash that accrue with being an out and out rate tart?
PS the rest of the paper is quite good.

Never use insurance (in any form) as a savings tool.

All credit cards are bad!!!!
All credit cards are good. I make money from them every time I use them. I rarely pay any other way.

Once Goldfish visa was quite good, because you got back £10 for every £1000 you put on it off some products/stores' items.
Now the figure is down to £7.50 per £1000, and e.g. British Gas/Asda are 'no longer partners', which is why I eventually stopped being British Gas customer. I am still an Asda customer, but use Goldfish points for CDR 100-spindles from Argos.
Credit cards are good for free credit/convenience/cash abroad/online-'phone purchases/guarantee on items over £100 and for seeing Jose Mourinho advertising one of them on TV.

Mind you 90% of todays European Online Gambling punters are British, so I do see the need for such intelligent plastic finance !!!

If you have a balance to transfer then I don't have a clue but best is to get rid of that balance. Using credit cards for debt is not a good solution.
I use Amex Blue, 1% cashback
If you travel overseas a lot Nationwide has commission free foreign transactions (everybody else charges around 2-3%, read the small print)
