PS
I had read this posting and just feel they're one of those groups you like or hate. I have Fire, Joshua on vinyl and Rattle & Hum on CD so have not kept up with them.
I'm all for entertainers getting behind causes, going back to Lennon and Harrison. Sure beats the hell out of the ones discussing their emergence from rehab.

While it is not utter crap I don't feel it measures up to their best stuff. It just doesn't gel and light my fire the way Achtung Baby or The Joshua Tree did for me. My opinion of course.

I agree that the new single "boots" sounds like it is left over from Zooropa or even Pop (both of which turned my off), however, the rest of the CD IMO is pretty good, not quite excellent, but, good all the same. What I can say, with the general quality of popular rock & roll these days mostly in the toilet, at least U2 in their past couple CDs have been sometinhg you can count on to be half decent. Sound quality on recordings to today is always an issue, however, this Cd on my system seems ot sound better then their last two ...overall....

Was underwhelmed at first but this is a slow burner. Sound quality is too biased towards Bass but compression (thankfully) is not in the Springsteen league. There are actually some good tunes but time is required to dig them out, and people don't want to do that anymore.
