CDS 2 plastic lid cleaning- a follow up
Posted by: davidf on 05 October 2002
some of you may remember a few weeks ago I posted a thread having to do with my somewhat scratched cds 2 plastic lid. Well I found something that works-"NOVUS" products. A forum member shareza recommended trying it. I comes in 3 different types. #1-cleans and shines the plastic
#2-fine scratch remover
#3-deep scratch remover
Well I used #2 initially as was recommended by the manufacturer. It is a slightly thick liquid that you apply with a soft cloth (cotten only) and you buff just like car wax. This gets out the superficial scratches. After this step, I used the #1 to clean and shine as a final step. Well I am pretty impressed. It looks almost new and was greatly improved compared to what it had looked like. I did not try the #3 as I have no really deep scratches.
Overall, this is an excellent product that I can highly recommend for those of you who want to make there cds2`s to look as well as they sound!
By the way, the Novus people on their website recommend their products for cleaning and getting the scratches out of cd`s. Their web address is:www.noscratch.com/novus/index and the 800 number is 1800(NOVUS60). Try it. david
