free computers & Broadband 4 all
Posted by: allthingsanalogue on 14 January 2010
I was always told when growing up, "If you won’t something you will have to save up and pay for it"; mind you I wasn’t living under a labour Government then.
Gordon Brown wants to give free computers and broadband for all who can’t afford it and on low incomes but I wonder how many of them already have playstation 3s, Xbox 360s, Wii’s plus 50” plasmas hanging of every wall.
Point is, I had to pay for my computers and my broadband access and everything else but in this country if you can’t afford something and won’t worked, have a baby then you are set up for life!

They've already imposed a 50p per month tax on existing broadband users to help pay for faster broadband speeds and to provide connections to those in remote areas. I'm pretty pi$$ed off about it to be honest.
What am I already paying for???

This is an OUTRAGE.
Only last week here on Princess Diana Drive, some single-mother lesbian gypsies moved into the five-bedroomed house across the road, rent courtesy of the taxpayer no doubt. Naturally, I called the police right away, only to be put through to some foreign call centre, and after being on hold for half an hour, I was informed that anything of importance has been postponed until the votes of a load of Guardian-reading, sandal-wearing geography teachers and media sorts bring back the next Labour government in 2015. What in Littlejohn's name are we coming to in this country?
And now, and now... I have to PAY for my own broadband. It's just not good enough.

You are paying for the cost of your provider to provide broadband services at a profit to you at your home. The 50p levy is to subsidise broadband rollout in areas of the country where market forces make it uneconomic for providers to invest (not just speed improvements as you indicate but basic provision of broadband). I must admit I'm surprised that anyone begrudges 50p/month for that purpose and similar levies are in place in the US and many other countries so it's not a UK specific surcharge.quote:They've already imposed a 50p per month tax on existing broadband users to help pay for faster broadband speeds and to provide connections to those in remote areas. The 50p is a good idea, why not another levy towards extra police for people who live in cities?

Yes I agree all those poor people with 50 inch plasmas eating caviar pizzas and having a thousand babies really should just be sent to Siberia or have their benefits stopped instead of encouraging them to get on their bikes (or mice) to find work. Its a good job I pay my taxes and work hard so I can keep the poor in their place. Margaret Thatcher wouldn't have put up with any of that nonsense. And as for the illegal immigrant asylum seeking ner do wells just dint get me started. I would kindly suggest we kick people when they are down a damn bit harder they bloody well deserve to have nowt and no aspirations.

That's a pretty extreme view; I mean who is going to pick up the bill to send such scroungers to Siberia; I know - us - the tax payer.quote:Yes I agree all those poor people with 50 inch plasmas eating caviar pizzas and having a thousand babies really should just be sent to Siberia

Don’t even get me started on the illegal immigrants. In the paper the other day I saw about 9 Romanians who move into squatted in a a familys house that was being renovated and when the family phoned the police they were told not to be racist against the Romanians.
My wife said she was disgusted and enmbarrased to have once been Romanian.
What do you expect from a country who’s got a Prime minister that no one even voted for!

Well they shouldn't have made racist remarks about the Romanians then, should they? Bet they weren't told that it's legal for Romanian immigrants to squat in other peoples houses. If they were then they might have something to complain about.
Your wife shouldn't worry. English people have been known to squat in houses too.

I think it's a great idea!
The internet is sort of being forced on people...anyone can go down the library and use the internet free anyway, working or not...this IMO is no different.
Not to mention there is a lot of people out of work who are looking for work and need access to the internet thanks to the rogue workers who have been fortunate enough to stay/dodge in work?

I would rather use the money to fund a police/immigration initiative to find and chuck out the illegal immigrants, fix the benefits fiddling parasites & while at it make sure that that bunch of free loading Islam4UK anal glands get trodden on in the process.

BREAKING NEWS! Correction...Invasion of the BNP voters!
Posted on: 16 January 2010 by Mike-B
WRONG Sister E. This is the invasion of people who care about this country & are sick & tired of people of all nationalities & religions who come here to get a free ride including lunch & living expenses & especially when doing so preach hatred, racism & bigotry. Even more galling is that its paid for by me & my kind & effectively sponsored by the state.

Gosh Mike they do sound like a bad lot. Let me know if you find any.
BY the way which national and religious groups do you think should be allowed to come here to get a free ride including lunch & living expenses?

Hmmm. Words like "Invasion" scare me. Sorry but this is still the language of the far right, whatever you say.

Guillaume le Bâtard and his descendants were the immigrants themselves. So there is nothing wrong with being the immigrants. What is wrong is with the people who take advantages of the social system to get a free ride.
