Used CDS2 - what to look out for

I'm interested in purchasing a used cds2 and am particularly interested in what to look out for in terms of condition of the transport. As a top hat CDI owner I was wondering if the CDS2 has a Nextel ring equivalent. Or is disk slippage a smaller problem than it used to be.
