And his little pal, Gideon. Apparently the country's economy is going to be saved by window cleaners and single-mother entrepeneurs.
Meanwhile, Banks and Hedge Funds scoot off abroad to avoid Cammo's swingeing new tax rates as he panders to the "Let's All Get The Bankers" zeitgeist, depriving the exchequer of millions in tax revenues.
What a plonker.

Neo Conservative tosh. Using the recession as a means to push through ideological economic policies.
Yes, we were poorer after WW2 however the country still managed to build 2m houses and a National Health Service free at the point of need.
I see the City has paid out over £7 bn in bonus payments this year, the highest figure in 10 years.
Yes indeed David, "We are all in this together"
Milton Freidman must be smiling up at you from his burning pit!
"The Great Depression, like most other periods of severe unemployment, was produced by government mismanagement rather than by any inherent instability of the private economy."
Milton Friedman
Mmm. Perhaps not Milton.

quote:push through ideological economic policies.
Not something you could ever accuse the Labour Pains of, of course.
Point is, he's being just as populist as his stupid predecessor. As a Conservative, he's supposed to be supportive of the country's money-making institutions - Banks and Hedge Funds ("glass towers"). They're the ones who contribute millions of tax pounds to the exchequer. Instead he's coming across as a Little Englander who thinks "entrepeneurs" are going to get us out of the mess the socialists have left us in. And he's got the nerve to claim Thatcherite inheritance?
What a waste of time.

Mike I happily accuse NEW Labour of this.

Point, in Britain we have not had anything approaching a Socialist government in fifty years! Please, please do not mistake the Liebour Party with Socialism, it is easier to confuse them with the Conservatives !
Charlie.

What a great title for an album and a group. The bankers caused all the current problems so why not get 'em. Still at least the country is better than when the old witch Thatcher was around (OK she was good on spitting image especially when she got melted down - now that was good).quote:"Let's All Get The Bankers" zeitgeist,
Do you believe what you post, Mike, or do you just like arguing for the sake of it - nothing wrong with that of course, but lets argue about something sensible:
I think after winning promotion next year, Ipswich town will go on to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA cup and Roy Keane will be hailed as the greatest manager in living memory.
Well it's not as far fetched as Banks and Hedge Funds - They're the ones who contribute millions.
Here a song to cheer us all up
That Cameron video is unbelievable - straight from the hitch-hiker's guide: I expect him to say any moment that the world is going to be destroyed by a swarm of piranha bees so they have sent all the hedge fund managers off in the Golgafrincham B Ark - now that would be a good idea
Bring back Ronco and Katel

£7 billion in bonuses, yet the Nation paid for their losses and supported Banks when they where about to collapse. Let them bugger off to Switzerland. I'm sure a good half dozen would, and obviously nobody would replace them.
The Nation is fighting a War and the Tories are now saying that, for the first time ever - the MoD will have to pay the £20 billion cost of Trident.
Tories - putting the "n" into cuts.

Will they be joining Lord Ashcroft?

Cameron is holding a press conference ATM , could it look more like a NF speech?
I'm not listening BTW.

A good way to save £20 Billion, is to scrap trident.

Or banker's bonusesquote:A good way to save £20 Billion, is to scrap trident.
At Ipswich, our players offered to scrap their win bonus, but that still left it £19,999,999,999.99 short.

Could be worse, the Prime Minister could be the Opposition's union fag, first class Ray Romano impersonator, but third rate Elvis, Mr Ed.
The Coalition haven't been tough enough; scrap all Child Benefit - you want a child and they are not physically and/or mentally handicapped, pay for them. Those who lent and packaged loans irresponsibly should compensate, but so should those on the other side; the companies and individuals who borrowed recklessly...
As for Labour's 'New Generation', the faces are a good match for the 'Old Generation', the people who, with the regulators, ratings agencies, greedy lenders and greedy borrowers, created this mess.
Cheers,

I sometimes wonder if Cameron knows that he is a c***.
I suspect he doesn't. I suspect Blair is similarly oblivious.
I also suspect Brown does know though.
