Associated "British" Foods/Twinings

Bit late here as I believe it was announced a while back but the above unmentionables are closing their Tyneside factory and making 263 workers redundant. A new factory is being opened in Poland and the redundant Tyneside workers are having to train Polish workers for this new factory. Looks like Morrisons Assam for me from now on.
As the renowned thespian Stephen Fry is the face of Twinings here I thought I'd have a quick look at his site although I'm hopeless at twits etc I couldn't find any mention.

I assume they are being "blackmailed" into training their replacements, other wise the second word is .... off. AFAIWBC

Believe your right USDAW (a union rarely heard from) have said there's nowt can be done. Threat of breach of contract-sack-no redundancy pay situation, I guess.

As I thought re union. USDAW = WOS.

If the workers had been using bad English or bad punctuation, Steven Fry would have intervened then? Roll Eyes

By the time he notices declining standards of grammar I fear the damage will already have been done. ABF probably pay him well for the adverts.
