I use my TD160B MkII as a second deck for playing vinyl through my computer via a phono stage.

I gave £100 for it with a mint SME3009/III arm. The deck itself also being near mint, but the lid is poor on top.

For me, it was a reasonable deck (with 45rpm), and a decent arm at a price I was happy with. I've seen them in junk shops for a tenner and at silly prices on e-bay, and everything in between. Each one on its own merits I'm afraid.

Tweaks.... have you tried a search of the net?

Try;

I haven't got round to any myself but I recall other people trying different springs, plinth and motor change. All the usual suspended deck stuff. Maybe an external power supply should be added to the list.

Have fun.

Most excellent t/t the latter (s) had a better Bering; own arm not as good, and that is being generous, I assume you live in the UK. There is a guy in east Sussex who can still supply manufactures parts so no problems there including up rated stuff, prices as pb suggests, but to be brutal a good late one with a decent arm e.g. 3009 11 or 111 would cost £150 upwards, I have seen not so recently a 160 with own arm looked like early seventies vintage nice (wooden plinth) up for £65 in a dealers window.
