Excellent ..... haven't actually seen the cd but it probably comprises both vinyl releases, which were sourced from a Paris radio broadcast. Excellent quality "live" recording. Originally released on vinyl on Bruce Lundvall's Elecktra Musician label. Bruce is the CLive Davis of jazz, one of the finest record company execs and producers around. Believe he is now head of Blue Note. Format of the performance is piano trio (piano, bass, drums), Mr Evan's is widely considered one of the all-time greats. Good listening.

Minime,
that depends on WHICH Bill Evans you mean:
- the great, but dead BE (piano) or
- the very boring but living BE (sax)...

it's the pianist i picked it up this morning still sealed with inserts elektra masters cat no 7559-62606-2 taken from original tapes the paris concert edition one for £2.00 i know nothing of jazz music/musicians but enjoying this. i have had enough of manufactured music and decided a change was in order. it is a excellent recording i also picked up a jazz comp cd for the same price with coleman hawkins oliver nelson miles davis john coltrane and others this is good too.

Try Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby. Both are sublime.
Cheers,
