It seems that Vivante - www.vivante.co.uk have gone into liquidation, you will be re-directed to the Audiophile candy website.

Shame, I'd be interested to know why...

What a damn shame!
They were really nice to deal with. I used them for most of my vinyl purchases and never had any problems.
I'm a bit stuck now, as I hate Diverse Vinyl and won't be using them.

I can heartily recommend Piccadilly Records in Manchester
Piccadilly
They issue a weekly newsletter detailing recent releases. Postage is at cost, they use stout mailers and despatch promptly. Stock favours the more indie/alternative end of the spectrum.
Hope that helps

What's wrong with Diverse? I have used them many times and no problems - whereas Vivante used to keep me hanging on for records for weeks/months.

Agreed, it is a great shame but when I think about the overall state of the market (plus my own recent dealings with them) I can't say that I'm really suprised. I used to deal with them a lot about 5-6 years ago and even visited them one time. I well remember the time when after MoFi's sad demise they marked up their existing stock (after then proprietor Steven Carr went into print to condemn rivals for doing likewise). I too will certainly miss their stand at the various Hi-Fi fairs but the last guy that 'served' me (or rather forgot to hand back my credit card and then started to talk to another customer, and then gave me cheek afterwards when I politely pointed out his oversight). More recently I had an arrangement with a local record shop to order through Vivante and the owner had to discontinue using them as the service had just got so bad, I well remember one day when after months of waiting he was asked to "phone back tomorrow" because there was no one there who could help on the status of an outstanding order. I will certainly miss dealing with both Tim Bright and Sean Ormonde, gentlemen both.
Diverse Vinyl are good but are even more expensive then Vivante used to be!
