But better still, keep the Flatcap - then decide what you want on the CD3.5, the Flatcap or Hi-cap.

This is a friend's system - who has now the possibility to buy a HI.

I'd consider replacing the 90 with a 140 first as it works a lot better with Credos.

As Jay said, it's definitely better with Hi-cap on CD 3.5, than flat cap. I used to have the 3-serie set up, CD3.5/92R/90/3 and Intro. Then got 02 flat caps on CD 3.5 & 92R, it's obviously improved the clarity and soundstage.
To replace with a Hi-cap, As I got all these brand new, so it's not cost effective, the cost of Hi-cap and CD3.5 is almost like a CDX, CDX is definitely better, it's depends how much can you get for your CD3.5 and how many you pay for the Hi-cap. Otherwise better get a 102 or CDX.
