Discover the opportunities in historic Hereford

Hereford is neither a beautiful city in the way that Chester is, or a rich, or even smart, town like Cheltenham, but it has never been ruined by the planners and developers, and does not have very much in terms of run down areas.

It is primarily an agricultural market town that has never seen the extreme swings of depression and boom of many industrial cities...

You do not have to walk very far to find both kindly mannered people, and some beautiful architecture, though the style is mostly vernacular English, as well as some very fine Georgian buildings and one or two remarkable buildings from earlier [Tudor, Queen Anne etc], still often used for their intended purpose.

The streets and pavements are satisfyingly wide in the centre, which is unusual for a town still layed out in the Medieval Style with a Crossing.

The place has never been gentrified, or become depressingly untidy. It rubs along!

The Cathdral is the gem:

I wish I was still be living near the place. It is very comfortable for me! Fredrik
