Foobar remote control

Posted by: Graham Russell on 06 January 2010

I'm trying to install the http control component into the latest stable build (0.9.6.9) of Foobar2000. When Foobar starts up I get an error message saying foo_httpcontrol.dll is the wrong version and that it appears to have been build with a newer version

Can anyone give me a pointer to how to get http control working?

Thanks
Graham

Graham,

Try this instead.

http://forums.naim-audio.com/e...2903417/m/4972952727

Library Scrolling and search will be implemented soon.

Playlist view works now along with volume, next, pause etc....

It kicks ass.

If you insist on trying to get the http controller to work, or you are actually using the http controller for another computer/laptop, i can assist you. I was using it extensively prior to the native remote app.

I'm running foobar 1.0 beta 6 and httpcontrol 0.92 and I don't get this message.

Check your version and upgrade if necessary.

Thanks. Upgrading worked!

I now need to sort out a good web environment. I found the "kevo" set up last night. This allows me to search for specific artists, play current play list items. However, I can't seem to find a method of browsing artists.

What are you using at the Foobar end?

Thanks

Graham

I'm not using httpcontrol very actively.
I have installed all availble skin and mostly use ajquery, because of its easy access.

You can change the stepping-order in which the query/browse goes through you media library by going into foobar's preferences/tools/HTTP control/media library/ and changing the query steps here.
Default is 1. %genre% 2. %artist% 3. %album%
but you could start with %artist%

I access this by using query and running empty search or doing a "init/retrace query".

It is a shame not all skins work properly in IE, which is still my default browser, all be it with a Slimbrowser-skin.

BTW I also upgraded foo_httpcontrol to 0.96.3 now.
