Psychic TV

I used to have loads of thee albums on vinyl, but now that has all gone I'm only left with Towards Thee Infinite Beat on CD. I looked on Amazon & Ebay but there is hardly anything available. Bummer. I can see an album of Godstar for £17, but that's a bit steep I think for what was essentially a single. It's a shame because I feel thee need to play Godstar - I can feel a Brian Jones resurrection moment coming on.

Kind of liked the earlier stuff myself. Was always a big Throbbing Gristle fan so I can be a bit dismissive of the stuff where he became obsessed with Brian Jones. By the way did you know Genesis P.Orridge sells a lot of vinyl on e-bay. Some of it's really good but like all of us who have huge collections he's got some dross as well.

Why did you flog the vinyl in the first place? It was always likely that with a band like this it would be a struggle to replace with CD.

Anyhoo - hope you can find the music you used to own!

Space really. Turntable and 30 years of record buying took a lot of space, and I really had moved on from most of the stuff in there. After sorting through it all it got so close to getting rid of all of it, that I just got rid of all of it. There are a couple of things I regret parting with, a rare Chick Corea album for instance, but not very much really.

I really crave Godstar, and one album that I remember was good was Mouth Of The Night. I also seem to remember that thee Themes albums could be good too, but it's strange that there really isn't much info on thee web at all and I can't find any reference to them.
I remember that back in thee mid 80's Genesis P-Orridge lived here in Brighton in a flat above thee bicycle shop. Used to see him in thee pub on the corner of Lewes Road.

I always liked the story that Genesis bought an old mixing desk used by the stones and left the channel Brian always used open during recording.

On some Psychic TV tracks you can just faintly make out the sound of a bloke splashing about in a swimming pool. Winker

I remember when I was a kid I went to play rugby against the school he used to go to - Hymers in Hull. I know he wasn't there when I went but I do remember that he had his name carved into a lot of desks.
By the way I heard that the reason for the name was because when he was at school he liked porridge. I know it sounds daft but I've met a few guys who went to Hymers who swore that it was true. OIf course it could be that I'm just gullible
