DYE racks for Naim equipment

Posted by: Surfing Alien on 27 July 2002

Hi Guys,

I was wondering: does anybody have experience in building your own audio-rack? I've been looking at the Naim Fraim, but to tell you the truth, the price of it allmost gave me a heart attack!

Since I'm quite a good DYE-guy, it should'n give me much trouble building something that comes near the Fraim. It seems that multi-level spiking is the base for good result, and that is not that hard to design for yourself. As a finishing touch, I would lose the glass plates and replace them with marble or granite; imho a better material for the job.

On top of that, I can create something that will fit my interiour better than most, if not all, available racks.

Any comments / suggestions?

I was also looking for that picture.
Man, he sure did a fine job on those Fraim clones!

I'm sure the Fraim is a major upgrade and it looks fabulous, but even then...the price is ridiculous. shame!
Not every music-lover is also a miljonair.

I apologies if my reaction seems a bit overdone to some people, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this way...
