I'll have to buy it for Disc 4 track 14, never available on CD and brilliant.

Being a late 80's Acid Ted this looks like a great way to sample the 60's Psychedelic scene. I might just get a copy lets hope for a vinyl version.

woah, that is eclectic. Doubt I"ll buy it tho. it was fun to hear some strange stuff on the radio back then, Yes I remember the 60s very well and never dropped. I remember FM coming in and a radio station WDAS in Philly let DJs do whatever. One minute it was Beethoven's 5th and the next Hendrix wigging out on guitar. Then Jefferson Airplane, CCR and then a little jazz and Beatles singing I am the Walrus. Radio these days is pretty boring.
I happen to have Spirit's Dr Sardonicus and found it really boring. Give me Berlioz Symphony Fantastique any day.

It's good, but there are better ways IMHO.quote:this looks like a great way to sample the 60's Psychedelic scene
The best psych collection has to be Rubble compiled by Bam Caruso - please click here. The highlight of this entire set is Save My Soul by Wimple Winch probably the greatest single in the history of singles - it is the perfect three minute pop song.
The original Nuggets collection is good if you want to sample American psych.
Hmmmm .... Mr Mudwolf ...... I beg to disagree with you, sir. For me, Spirit's Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus belongs on any desert island disc collection - it is an absolute masterpiece. I like Berlioz Symphony Fantastique too, but ..... Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus is an absolute masterpiece. The greatest American psych album - not 'arf - probably the greatest record made by any American band IMHO (Though They Might Be Giants Flood would run it close).

oh well I only remember 2 of their other works that were more traditional. I'll have to listen to it again.
