Mods: Phono and the Nait 5i

A question to Naim:

Forum members have commented that adding phono to the 5i is rather expensive as you need a FC2 and a Stageline. And the 5 is being discontinued.

How about a 5-series stand alone phono stage, in an FC 2 case, with power supply and phono cards in one case? Might be commercially interesting, as there are quite a number of phono stages out there that seem to be doing reasonably well.

Any plans in this direction?

In another recent thread there was a response from Richard Dane, confirming that Salisbury are aware of this issue and looking at possible ways to resolve it - a matter of watch this space, I guess.

My own feeling is, it would probably be cheaper to provide a specific power outlet on the 5i which could only be used to power a stageline, but we'll have to wait and see.

Or just an adaptor to power the Stageline with a NAPSC.
