Nokia 3120 Mobile Phone Query

I have just bought my mother a new 3120, and it is displaying an icon in the top left hand corner of the start-up screen that I cannot identify from the manual.
It resembles a car door (might be a pictorial representation of a computer). It is NOT the 'keypad lock' icon. The SIM card was transferred from another mobile.
I have also bought an identical 3120 (and installed my old SIM card) which does not display this icon.
Any ideas?
