Why do some people hate "tweaks"?

It seams that some people have a vendetta against tweaking.just wondering why it is and why they by "high end " hifi in the first place if they think that equipment cannot be improved or helped by some well though out tweaks?

I think it's the fact that some people do a tweak, hear something in the music they like, regardless of the fact that it ruins the sound overall.

They are blinkered.

Like a horse.
