Apple TV with 2mbps connection - is it possible?

I am considering getting an apple tv box but i am worried that i dont have the bandwidth - up to 2mbps. What hifi say that youcan start watching downloaded films at 1% downloaded status which would be okay but this is with a faster 'up to'10 mbps connection. Is the apple tv a realistic proposition for me?

Tuk,

Welcome to Naim obsession land, it will grow on you.

2mbs should be OK if you don't mind waiting to start, allowing 30 minutes of caching will probably help matters.

Different question, same product.

Will an AppleTV continue to find an iTunes library on a hard disk attached to an Airport Extreme when my PC is off? and for bonus points will my iPod touch control the AppleTV with Remote?

Thanks Jono, what i dont want is for the film to keep freezing when watching! Have you got one? Is it any good? I am hoping to stream music from my ipod through it to Nait 5i-2

and for bonus points will my iPod touch control the AppleTV with Remote? The ATV, yes, but only what is on its hard drive, or when linked to iTunes library(see above answer)
