Mark,
If I don't see you before, then it will be good to see you at the Lowry.
Drop me a line when you get time.
All the best

James,
Wondered why it had all gone quiet. I'll borrow those Druids if they're not in use right now. Anyway, care for some additional company at The Lowry? I also haven't yet got the new album although I've seen one (bad) review. However, planning on getting my ticket tomorrow.
Mike
PS: Anyone persuaded AC to surrender a Powerline yet? It's conspicuously quiet.

Hi Mike,
How are you?
I was getting suspicious that you had got your Power Line and been sworn to secrecy by Dave!
Don't worry the Druids are in full use, even though playing to themselves whilst I'm installing a new bathroom suite. I have a pair of Allae's that you are most welcome to borrow, if you want.
It will be great to see you at the Lowry, will you need a lift? Dave mentioned he got the CD on Monday and is totally different to his previous two albums.
Dave was round last night and left a couple of Power Lines at my house, unfortunately he was on the doorstep this morning to collect them.
I had the Power Lines on the Amp and the CD Player - I will not tell you the outcome, as I do not think you could win another one
! I have listen to a single Power Line on the amp on about 3 occasions now, and the last time (it has now obvioulsy been fully bedded in at Fitton Towers) was absolutely awesome!
Drop me an email with your new contact details.
All the best
James

Hi James,
I'm fine. No "new" contact details either. Same old email addresses.
Sorted my Ray ticket today and then, as the 18 year old has been nagging me for Christmas present ideas, I got her to pay for it!
Getting to the Lowry won't be a problem. Getting back always is so any transport would be much appreciated. Might even stretch to a coffee too this time. Mind you, at that time of night and with our lounge being directly under a 3 year olds' bedroom you merely get to look at the kit rather than play it!!!
Think I'll ask Father Christmas for the album too. No rush and all my pennies are being directed to saving for the plasma etc.
Don't suppose either of you two are also at The Lowry for Richard Thompsons' "1,000 Years Of Popular Music". I have the CD and DVD - both excellent. My tinnitus can't take a full Thompson gig nowadays but this acoustic stuff should be just fine. Me, my wife and a mate have just sorted tickets for the end of Jan.
Powerlines!!! He has two does he? That's one for demo. as I understood it. T'other one is clearly mine. The recession is here and they need all the publicity they can get. What better than a presentation to a competition winner?!
Anyway, out with it. Single Powerline on CD or amp? I'm guessing amp.

Back to the thread. Yes, I have heard the new LaMontagne album. IMO not as good as the first two. It is all over the place in regards genres he is covering and I don't think it works. That said, there are several excellent tracks 2,3,4 and they are worth the price of admission right there. As usual production is first rate.
