Semi-pathetic question about light-up NAIM logo

Posted by: onlythat on 27 December 2002

You know, all the little green NAIM logos on my CDX/HI/140 light up a nice bright green-- but the one on my 72 is dimmer.
Is this some kind of LED or capacitor problem or something? It ain't out, it's just not as bright as the other 3. Anyone else have this problem or enough time on their hands (I'm off this week-- can you tell?) to notice?

Oh, and while I'm at it, BRAVO to Stereophile for taking Art Dudley on as a reviewer. He is THE MAN. Pick up a copy-- we have our Artie back!

There are two Hi-Caps in my second system (102 & CD5); one is fairly new, the other is 8 years old. The old one's logo is distinctly dimmer (and it's a hummer, too).

My dealer says thegear sounds better when the lights fail, but they just may be avoiding warranty repairs....

I think it's the same for the new line as well. the logo is brighter on the 500 than the 252 (on loan).

Perhaps Naim should look into this?
