This just underlines what a daft area it is to be trying to sell products. On the one hand the technology won't stand still for a second, did vinyl /CD, Cassette,DAT specs change every week/month ...NO.
Plus loads of people banging on how they should have this feature that feature, why don't they use XX etc.
I can only surmise that the pot of gold must be huge, to suffer all this crap.
I personally don't think NAIM are looking too clever over , this and other products , flaws and failures to appear.

i really don´t understand your posting here ? what has it to do with the hdx update...? it is obvious that the hdx will go through many updates now and then. this periods will last maybe for 1 - 2 years. it is a computer based system . like cameras and video and phones and other stuff.

Yes now and then , how long has the HDX been out? If I'd paid many £1,000s for a camera I'd expect it to remain unchanged for a good few years. Unless they recalled it for updates.

well i don´t think the hdx has changes so much. bigger capacity doesn´t hold you back to love your old hdx as much as the new one.
with cameras and video it is unfortunatelly bit differnt . a 3 year old 22k pound hasselblad is not really so much more worth today. you still can take images wit it like on the first day , but it finds better. and no it isn´t updatable.
