what cd hit the right note for you 2007. for me jennifer warnes old blue raincoat 20th anniversary edition on shout factory is a stunner. remastered from the master tapes here voice never sounded better.

I might have mentioned this album and singer/songstress before in previous posts and favourite album lists, but if there was a better record made in the last 10 years then I'd love to hear it.

It's Basia Bulat's 'Oh My Darling'.
I've checked out her Myspace, but haven't heard the whole album. Very derivative of HMHB if you ask me.

Be interested in what you make of it James. Unlike some of ROTF's other strenuous recommendations (most notably Kate Walsh) - I don't "get" Basia at all.
