Hi Jack,
saw this in the Sunday Times a while back and got tickets for Edinburgh.
Going on the strength of his reputation but I haven't heard much of his stuff.
Which albums do you recommend?
Cheers,
Calum

The Sheffield gig, advertised as at the University on the 6th has been changed to the 20th October at the Memorial Hall which is at the rear of the City Hall.
'Painting Signs' is a good place to start, or the live one 'Road works'. Enjoy.
"All systems are perfectly designed to get the results they get."

Calum,
As Jez staeted "Painting Signs" is excellant. It includes a version of Angel (Hendrix) that's realy good. Favourite track would have to be "Hope in a Hopeless World".
Also the "Home To Me Album" is very good. In fact all the stuff I have heard is good.
The recordings are also good quality. Either of the above highly recommended.
I'll let you know how the Manchester gig goes on Tuesday, really looking forward to it.

Heard him on the radio singing this at this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival, with a mostly acoustic backing band.
According to the internet it’s the name of his Swedish backing group not a song, however that’s what he sang and for me it was one of the highlights of the show.
Did anyone hear this version; has this been recorded and if so what CD does it appear on and is it a similar arrangement to the live version?

Calum,
The concert was at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. I've never been there before but it's the home of the Halle Orchestra. It's like a four star hotel when you walk into the building, very plush. Tables laid out by the bar, coffee on sale, no sign of a spliff anywhere, concert venues have come a long way.
The concert hall itself is very impressive and the acoustics were pretty good too. Eric came on about 8.30 and finished about 10.15. It wasn't sold out by any means but a reasonable following.
Played a good selection of new stuff and some older tracks. Played a track called Sebastian (I think) that's an instrumental that sounded fantastic.
You won't be disappointed. Enjoy it.
