av2 stby temp

is it normal for the av2 case to feel quit hot
i leave it on stby when not in use as i think its what you do .so why so hot
any advise on this please.

Hmmmm, well, in this raging heat (for the UK at least), I too have noticed the warmth emanating from the AV2 even when on standby. I admit on my custom-made stand, there's not a huge amount of space around it to keep cool but even then it's no warmer than a power amp.
I guess it comes down to the fact that the insides are pretty well crammed full of components and the internal transformer is the size I've seen on a fair few respectable power amps.....

I've noticed that my AV2 is being rather hot as well (currently just put in standby), I know it runs pretty warm anyway.
Added another audio connection (new damn big TV!) about 10 minutes ago and the AV2 (top and bottom) are nearly too hot to touch.
As this has now been mentioned by several people I will take it as read that it looks to be a trait of the box. My Nait2 is pretty warm at the moment but the NAP175 is cool to the touch.

I've had the same experience. Everything seems to be ok, but just be mindful.
