Norah on Later

Anyone see Norah Jones on later? I thought she was fantastic. How bad was that Daemon Alban thing?

Hi Woodface,

I always try to see Later and I agree with you, Norah Jones was top notch.

However, I found the Damon Albarn collaboration patronising rubbish. I think it was Afel Bocoum and Toumani Diabate he was playing with (I missed the credits) but they can do so much better without him - do they really need to associate themselves with this 'demi-Sting' to achieve exposure in the UK?

...Damon Allbum is that he thinks he is Peter Gabriel.

Mixing African, or any other "ethnic" music, with western styles is not in itself difficult but it is very difficult to make it work. Damon didn't have a clue.

cheers

I completely agree with the sentiments over Mr. Alban's vanity project; patronising, irritating and tuneless.
