57's are a bit like a classic car. They can be in a pretty poor state and still 'work'.
I bought a pair that were in regular use and the tweeter panel of one was not working!
They cost me a few hundred quid to sort out. Electronics AND panels have to be in tip-top condition to generate their legendary magic.
