If you liked the first album then there are really no excuses to not get this one. Very well constructed tunes with a good pinch of humour thrown in the mix. Very chilled and pretty without verging into wallpaper music territory.
Great packaging on vinyl also.

Really like it, just as good as .ky for me, and my flatmate and fellow .ky lover seems to think so too.
With it being Halloween last night I decided to spook out all comers, had nightlights up the front garden path and opened up the windows so I could deploy noises better. The noises in question being mainly Robert Fripp's "Threnody for Souls in Torment" or "The Gates of Paradise"(1) on repeat play until the various demons, skeletons etc. had all called. And after an hour plus of that I needed something light and fun, and "Nice Weather for Ducks" was just the thing: the brass break is priceless!
Pete.
(1) one of the adult minders of the guising crowds said the sound made her scared to come in, another asked, "why do you have music like that?". Don't expect to hear either of them on mainstream radio!

I agree with Nick.
Something missing as compared to KY.
Not bad though

The missus picked this up at the weekend. So far, it hasn't really done anything for me. I find the speech samples grate a bit, and nothing really had the bounce of the first collection. Still, I am sure it will get used on the next series of Spaced, and then I will come to love it.
Also, I hate oversized CD packaging. I've had to add it to my pile of 'annoying discs' that don't fit in the shelving.

I'm really enjoying the new album. (I ordered it two months ago as part of a bigger order, and it was on hold forever due to a single item of the bunch being backordered.) I find that it's generally more upbeat than its predecessor, although just as groovy. The old one was a little more laid-back in comparison.
Both receive repeated listens here at Chez Catch.

I'm with Nick on this one too, I still listen regularly to .ky but this one hasn't grabbed me in the same way yet - it just seems less interesting...

Yes, isn't that great!!! It goes from silliness to pure energetic fun, in a wonderful, glorious build.
