a bowie thing

The problem with Heathen is that although it sounds great and you really really want to love it..

You just can't. Sounds too much like Dave trying to be Bowie (Low-heroes-scary monsters-Ziggy-Bowie)

Is this fair? Or should I give it another month to get its hooks in Wink

I know what you mean. First Bowie album i've bought for years and must confess i'm a little disappointed given the rave reviews about it. I love the first track, the pixies cover isn't bad but the rest of it still hasn't lit my fire after about 6 plays. That's the thing with Bowie, everyone wants to say he's returned to form but he never quite makes it. IMHO.

I love it too. It's Bowie's best since Scary Monsters.

I love heathen, but Hours, the album before is fantastic and it really should be in your collection.

I sort of see what you mean with heathen, but for myself much of his early stuff is a bit well, weird, the later stuff I find much better.

I am buying it all anyways, the prices you can find this stuff on vinyl for is rude.
