Anybody else going through the change

Popped out to Asda this evening for a few essentials. Beer and whisky. Drove past Asda, found myself drawn to Lidl.

Came out with 8 cans of Grafenwalder Pils and a bottle of cherry schnapps.

This is typical & far more common than realised, I admire that you have the strength of character to "come out".

It normally starts - in fact some believe it is the prime cause - starts with drinking half pints in glasses with handles.
The other signs aready outlined ....
Senile decay - a slow demise into irreversible conditions
False teeth - loose fitting and rattling around like David Jacobs
Recession - hair line, libido, compelling urge to upgrade perfectly good Naim gear

Next you will notice a slow growing trend towards .....
Buying comfortable shoes
Wearing M&S beige coloured driving coats & warm gloves while driving
Looking forward to supermarket visits, especially stopping off for an hour in the coffee shop
Going to a garden centre for lunch
The final stages are indicated by joining a line dancing club and eventually buying the jeans, buckle belt & 10 gallon hat.

Just nipped in the Co Op for a meat and potatoe pie, came out with a baguette, pain au chocolat and a tin of onion soup.

Just proves that you are on the right forum ! Smile

Why is there so many people talking about Hi-Fi here?
I thought it was the 10 gallon hat line dance forum!

They do some nice home made cakes and things at some Garden centres BTW.
I go shopping every now and then to keeep her sweet, then feign wobbly knees or something and then "I'll go and get the coffees in"! Smile

According to Jasper Carrot the really bad signs are appreciating a gift of tartan slippers followed by walking past Greenwoods and thinking; "nice cardy!"

Nowt wrong with the cheaper supermarkets; I'm more of an Aldi man myself but they both represent great value.

Settled down to watch the BBC news at six. Found myself watching Euronews

The Laurels sounds like a nice pub - do you think Jack would like company and maybe a Grafenwalder pils? John

Thought I’d listen to one of my favourite CD’s, the Fat Les classic, Vindaloo. Got distracted. Ended up listening to the soundtrack to Three Colours Blue.
