iTunes and Hi Def

I run iTunes from my iMac which broadcasts via an Apple Airport Express to my NAC 282 - works a treat.
I recently found out (from this forum) how to get iTunes to play downloaded hi definition music - which is great except that it will only play to the Computer speakers and will not broadcast to my Airport Express. Has anyone any ideas how to resolve this? (at this time I shall have to resist the temptation to purchase a Naim DAC).

Not quite shure about this, but I am afraid Airport Express limits you to 16/44.1.

Philippe is right. Airport Express does not support hi sample rate. You need to get a Linn DS, a Logitech Transporter or of course the Naim HDX.

Or play directly from your computer with a decent DAC.

Thanks guys, I had heard that previously about the Airport Express but assumed you could at least down scale to 16/44.1 for the time being (until the sun shines and I can once again afford £2k on hi-fi for a DAC)
