Tonight's game at Ibrox was not by any means a classic game of football (to put it mildly) but it must have been good entertainment for the neutrals. 3 great points for the Gers but never again will we play in such a shambolic manner and get such a great result.

If you thought that was shambolic then you obviously haven't been paying attention this season.
Plus points for me were the continuing good form of Prso, Ferguson and Murray the return of Kyriakos (our best centre-half by a mile) and encouraging starts for Jeffers and Bernard.
The downsides were awful performances from J-Rod and Namouchi and the lack of a right back.
Once Hutton is fit and Ricksen can return to midfield the side should be decent enough if a partner can be found for Kyriakos (I'd suggest Andrews as it worked last season).
Anyway over the course of the game I didn't think there was much in it. Porto only really threatened from set pieces and had Jeffers been match fit we might have got one or two more.

Well, i was there as well last night. Though you lot were lucky to get the win out of it. Could easliy have been 2-4 from where i was sitting. They went really close with few chances near the end. Your defence looked a bit shaky to me.

"you lot" - ?
It was a 3-2 victory, 3 points and a great start to the Champions League. Performance could have been better but we have played much better football in Europe and got beaten.
Massive improvement in Barry Ferguson. Maybe this could be due to the healing of his blistered feet (as reported in the days before the Scotland-Norway match) ?
Keep Believin' !!!!

I was only there through work so am neutral in these matters. And south of the border too.
I think they'll have you over at their place though. They looked dangerous on the break.
"You lot" do make some noise, i'll give you that.

I thought Fergie had his best game for a long time and what more can you say about Dado? I also thought there were times the defence looked as though they had just been introduced to each other about 5 minutes before kick off but no doubt playing below our best and getting 3 points is far preferable to playing superbly and getting nothing.
Roll on Inter in 2 weeks. That's going to be bizarre.

In the context of the group that game shouldn't be important anyway, although it would be nice to get a point, or at least not to get humped.
Rangers need to concentrate on getting full points from the two Artmedia games then a point from either the Porto return match or Inter reserves (hopefully!) at Ibrox to take us through.

The Champions of Europe (stunning win) will have another chance to get ball over Pensioners' line this Wednesday. I hope that Chelsea score at least as many as Liverpool.

Hmmm -- what's the champions league?
Still at least George Burley is doing OK - what a good idea to sack him Mr Sheepshanks and stay yourself - much appreciated.
Not to mention Tony Mowbray (and Terry Butcher)
