Upgrade Fever Strikes Again

From this weeks Holy Moly:

RAZORS:

Hi, I'm currently a Mach 3 user and would
dearly love to upgrade to the Quattro.

However, my psychiatrist thinks that I'm not quite ready for the awesome shaving power of the Quattro, so I was wondering if there is a version 3.5 I could use in the meantime, as a practice razor?

Perhaps you have some early prototypes you could spare? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you Hi-cap the 3.5 Macho? just think of the music (or blood) flowing that much more naturally? As well as the quieter back-ground for your shouts of, "S++t!" as you nick another mole or whatever... Big Grin Fred

Stephen

Both the Mach 3 and the Quattro work optimally straight out of the box and actually degenerate with use. Do not try to run them in! You have been warned!

Crikey, I have been surviving with those BIC things for years. I used to have one you put flat blades in and tightened into a curve (no I am not joking about that!), but I did not know that there were more fancy Razors out there. Best get me down the Old Razor Dealer and dem a few models. In store or home, I wonder. Perhaps in store for the first one... Fredrik

IMHO: the mach 3 handles better in the wet. Razz

The Quattro blades are 7 fucking quid for four.

However they last quite a long time before going you're beautiful...

The Mach 3 is a mini system with graphic equalisers and flashing lights. Change the head for something less brutally cutting and your wife/gf could use it in your absence.

Years ago I got sick of doling out for the blades and bought an old straight razor and strop - the blade was a Bengal if I recall correctly. An old barber nearing retirement taught me the art of sharpening (without wrecking the strop - roll the blade over the back at the end of the stroke.) I got the hang of it after a few goes.

However, my psychiatrist definitely advises against it these days...
