Subject says it all really. "Scheduling conflict", according to wilcoworld.net.

You poor bastards, not to be rescheduled?
Saw them with some friends at an outdoor show this summer in Seattle with a full moon behind the band and what was surely a sublime performance. Stood stage center maybe 35 feet from front of stage. Mix was awsome and not bleeding loud. Nils is absolutely the finest new dimension for that band.
Local guitarist Bill Frisell came out to do an encore with the band - not an amazing musical mixture (not much room for bill's musical nuance in a noisy encore) but great fun.
Finest show I have enjoyed in a while.

Is anyone else midly dissappointed by Blue Sky?
Reminds me of the current REM snooze period.

Not me Henners - I think it is their best album to date.

Agreed, Peter.
I know of me and several others who put this one on repeat and loved it more every time. I even hear the strains of this album pulsing through the wall to the adjoining cafe where the cook seems to blare it constantly while preparing soups and bacon. Of course, just cause everyone is doing it doesn't make it right.
I have not been a Wilco fan before but have enjoyed hearing their songs before. A friend played "impossible germany" while over listening to his naim system. The great song progression, lyrics, seventies double guitar riff style mixed with hints of jam band and then the phrenetic but controlled guitar solos of Nils Cline.
But we all listen with different ears and different minds, so maybe this is not your cup of tea, Henners. But I can't see who might see a song like "side with the seeds" as coming from a "snooze period".

Hmm, last week there was a message on wilcoworld saying they would try to reschedule some UK dates, but it's not there now...
And I also think Sky Blue Sky is gorgeous, I think some people are being a bit sniffy with it just cos it's more commercial than some of their recent stuff. Agree about REM though, their dreary output post-New Adventures in Hifi is proof if proof be need be of the importance of a good, distinctive drummer in a band.

Ok I'll take it out of the car and try it on my newer Naim stuff.
