totally 80ies

Being a little melancholic now and then I went through music I loved in the eighties and, tata:
Kissing the pink with "The last film" and "big man restless"
or Blancmange with "Don't tell me" (the mange tout album) are totally awsome!!!
Sitting here, staring at the horizon and trying to remember other "milestones" of 80ies new wave - whatever - synthie - dark pop.
Had a short listen to the meteors, they didn't make it, not a milestone.
What are your 2 or 3 milestones from the 80ies?
Regards
Guido
(sisters of mercy, cure, depeche mode, talking heads and philip boa don't have to be mentioned, their milestone status is undenyable)

Shriekback - Jam Science
Fad Gadget - Under the flag and Fireside Favourites

Plus, though these sound really dated now.

Balaam and the Angel
Cabaret Voltaire

Loads more, but can't think at the moment.

sun's coming up, like a big bald head. cool

Of Caberet Voltaire, I have Micrphonies. Heard it one saturday in a previous life doing some cabling at a flat, and one of the flatties had Microphonies spinning on the Rega P3. I was transfixed. Quizzed the girl about it, made a note, and rushed round to the reckid store to buy it on the way home. Great stuff. "Sensoria!". Oh yeah, it was a new release in those days. Oh yeah, on the black stuff, of course.

Nick,

Must be aliens. They came last night and took all my Duran Duran records. I think they are looking for hidden meanings with explanations of why there is life on earth.
