Doctor Who

Just watched the final episode, I have to say I am usually derisory about Billy, but she came over genuine and with real talent.
A great little episode.

Even with the appearance of Catherine "Am I bothered" Tate?

I was typing this just in the last seconds, I don't see how she will improve things.
I can't help but think the Beeb have something up their sleeve with old Billy.

Well, at least she's not actually dead!
I agree she's shown herself to be a great actress and what an excellent episode in which to make her grand exit.

How come in that article they talk about the 23 year old Billie Piper and the 27 year old Freema Agyeman but they don't mention how old David Tennant is?

Much prettier than Billy Piper IMO.

Absolutely agree, Erik. Can't think who Billie reminds me of...........

Perhaps this is my point. Before watching this episode I might have been happy to break her down into the quality of her parts in a typical male fashion.
But after her performance I think she deserves better, I thought she was utterly convincing.

I agree.
But I think she has been excellent all series. I also think that if anything, David Tennant has been an even better Doctor than Christopher Eccleston.

Here's the end of the last series with Christopher Eccleston leaving . I guess Billy got fed up with Doctors leaving her behind, so she decided to leave tonight.

Its just a shame make up kept giving her spider eyes!

Garyi,
I to enjoyed the series ender and reckon that Tracy-Ann Oberman doing her Horatius on the Bridge act was OTT and fun to watch. I'm sure that Rose has not been written out for ever after all IIRC she works for Torchwood in that parallel universe so their paths may yet cross somewhen in the future.

I've really enjoyed the whole series. David Tennant has been excellent and a better Dr than Cristopher Eccleston, whom I also enjoyed very much. Billie piper was also excellent and will be hard to beat.
Glad to hear that Catherine Tait will only be in the one episode. I simply cannot abide that woman.
But I bet she's not bovverred.

Agreed, with the exception of a couple of episodes. Didn't much like the doctor-free prog - seemed to be aimed at about seven-year olds (with a few out-of-place adulty bits), and an ending that was bleedin' obvious after about 10 mins. Liked the music, though.

He's been OK, but Eccleston was much better. What an idiot for giving it up!

Agreed (both series). Rather surprising, that.

But you are, and so am I.

I never expected David Tennant to be better than Christopher Ecclestone, and now I can't imagine anyone to better Billie Piper, so maybe I'll be surprised again. What is clear is that the Beeb have demonstrated that they can still do fabulous programmes when they bother. It makes Channel 4 look really shabby with it's Tabloid TV - big brother and reality rubbish.
It's a shame that programmes as good as Dr Who are a rarity and not the norm.
No-one has brought this up yet, but I'll put money on their being a movie, and it could be huge. It could fill where Star Trek left a void.
I hope the success of Dr Who inspires programme makers and ends the endless flood of soaps and reality shite.
Catherine Tait was funny for one or two shows and I hope people will still find her funny when Christmas comes - yeah, I think she's going to just be irritating personally.

Not quite a film but might just fill the gap between series.

It's the particularly early mention of the 'C' word that scares me.
