Anybody is using NACA5 with less than 3.5 m in length (which is minimum recomended by NAIM)?

I did it for several years with NACA4 - no ill effects, but I never turned the volume past 9-10 o'clock.

Am using 3m lengths of Gale 315 cable with the 72/140
No problems whatsoever

Yep, I'm using 2 meters per side, no problems at all, but will move up to 3.5m per side when I have the spare cash. System is cd5-112-150 Spendor sp3/1p. I wonder if the extra nac a5 will improve the sound, and I must say that any extra cable will be hard to coil up and hide. I don't need the extra lenght as the electronics are between the speakers in a small room, but if naim say so, I believe it is for a good reason, Mario.
p.s. I bought the 2m nac a5 prior to the 5 series purchase for a non naim system so did'nt need to worry about minimum length issue.

I use 2 m per side with 62/hi/140 and no problem (I guess). I also would like to know that is there an (easily spotted) audible improvement to go from 2 m to 3.5 m or the 10 m as Naim suggested.
But the 140 run quite warm either played or not-played which is warmer than 180.

Borrow a demo 3.5m or more NACA5 from your dealer and listen for yourself.

Peter Stockwell: Using different lengths for left and right channels is not recommended. Better to keep them identical and hide the extra length for the closer monitor (if you can using Naim cable).
