Some good stuff here and a little less eclectic possibly than Rough Trade. So they could have a Show called 'This Morning's not quite Eclectic enough' Big Grin

Vote here

I've only got 2 on that list - I had more on the Rough Trade list - still my album of the year doesn't seem to be there so I can't really vote - I'll just post a picture here instead.

You can add it as "an other album"

I have 8 on that list, so it tracks my "likes" better than the Rough Trade list.

Whatever happened to "normal" music?

I don't have any of those listed and have only even heard of about 5 of the artists!

What about Annie Lennox? or Keith Urban? The Eagles? The Feeling? - You know, normal, regular, quality stuff rather than really obscure artists that most regular people have never heard of apart from Amy Whine House etc...... (+ Richard Thompson, Lilly Allan, Nick Lowe, Pattie Smith, McCartney....)

I can't be the only one can I????

Most of my friends reckon I like obscure music, so what they'd make of this lot I dunno !

The poll asks only for "Best CDs of 2007" not "Best Popular Music CDs of 2007" ... so why doesn't their list have any jazz or classical CDs? I know you can write in others, and I have absolutely nothing against pop, I love pop, but, hey, this is NPR!

All best,
Fred

Who? Never head of 'em.

Well I have heard of two them, but haven't got records by them. Who is Keith Urban? Great name.

He is a big country music artist and Mr Nicole Kidman - how tough a gig is that!

Ian - thanks - I'm not too well up on male vocalists.

Who is Nicole Kidman? I know who Keith Urbane is but not Nicole. Was she on Coronation Street or did she marry that rich old bloke then died? I'm confused
