Thank goodness it takes its time to get to focusing (more or less) on the shoes.
When I first saw it last weekend, I said that advert is going places, my daughter accused me of being a sad old fart.
But up pops 'erself with "nice that the old fart still has life in his pants"
That puffed up the chest a bit, might by her a new HiCap just to say thanks.

I've never seen that one! Surely it must be after the watershed!

What are adverts?
Isn't that the main reason for PVRs, ?

We buy any car dot com
Irritating as hell but I can't stop singing it to myself and I know exactly what they do and where they are. What more could an advertiser ask for?

I have a strange nostalgia for TV adverts. Sky+ for five years means I am excluded from work conversations about such things etc. Occasionally I'll let a programme run through a break. The nostalgia soon evaporates.

Not as good as the PaddyPower one.

Meerkat is brilliant and the paddypower one when the blind footballer kicks the cat. (By the way I love cats and would never hurt one).

As someone who works at an advertising agency, I think the quality of ads these days isn't half as good as it used to be (1970s and 80s). Worse, there's more of it than ever before.
Even the big, acclaimed, Cannes-winning ads, like the Cadbury's drumming Gorilla and that bloody Meerkat I find tedious and annoying.
Most of the best work at the moment comes out of Latin America or Asia, or can be found in print or online.
I rather like the current campaign (press, mags and posters) Ogilvy & Mather is running for the Spectator - it's all words, no images, crisply written and, as they say in our business, completely "on brand".
