Thinking about dipping toes into Bluray, which seems to have come on a long way from being just super-duper DVD!

I'm sure lots of companies are launching 'advances' - good marketing tool in a financially-strapped age. But in recent weeks Over the last few weeks it has been announced that the new Samsung Bluray players and TVs to have WiFi Freeview HD and BBC i-player. Apparently...

So if you're about to dip your hand in your pocket, perhaps it's worth hanging fire just a bit longer, to see what's what.

I really like my Samsung TV and Bluray, all ported thru my stereo. Incredible entertainment.

The only new feature I know almost nothing about is 3D-TV. At the movies the other day I saw an ad for Sky-3D 'coming in autumn'. I didn't even realize that was on the cards, given there are only a handful of 3D-TVs on the market at this point...

Much as I loved Avatar, I'm not convinced the 3-D effect on a TV is going to be all that good myself.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong. Then I'd have to buy a new projector...
