135 hook up question
Posted by: davidf on 02 November 2003
I have noticed that my 135s, 52/supercap has the following hook up. The connections from the output of the supercap to the 135s are at outputs #3 and #4. I had it this way when I used an 82. I have been using these two outputs since I got my 52 about a year ago. I noticed while reviewing the manual that it states that #s 4 and 5 are the ones that should go from the supercap to each of the 135s. I changed it last night. I am not sure I hear a difference. Is there any difference between using #s 3and 4 vs 4 and 5? Number 3 is also listed as a separate output so I dont think it should make any difference. Anybody? thanks in advance. david

David,
I used this combo for about 5 years. I tried all 3 outputs of SC but never heard any change of sound.

I use two 135's with a 32.5 and a HiCap, and also wonder about which cable goes where. I last hooked it up and then checked the balance knob to make sure I had it around the right way. Why does the 135 have two inputs when it is a mono amp?
I'm baffled too.

rasher, I am talking about which inputs on the SUPERCAP. The 2 inputs on the 135`s are for either for the left or right channel. You must make sure that the left channel on the 135 matches up with the left speaker, etc. There are 3 outputs on the 135 to which you can connect the 2 135s which leaves an extra output. I was curious as to whether using outputs 3/4 is any different than using 4/5. david

There is a connections guide pdf on the website. This should reveal all.
