I think it's a pity to split audio discussions personally. Audio is audio whether the front end is a server, PC, Mac, turntable, CD player, tuner or whatever. I hope that when the HDX starts being demonstrated we shall see things coming together again.

What is perhaps a little disappointing, is it seems to be a reaction to some pretty intolerant and uninformed comment on a subject that few have really tried extensively at home. I certainly won't be making my mind up until I've heard a lot more, I do know however, that things are getting pretty interesting.

But it will remain the case that systems voiced primarily for turntables, may never be happy with digital unless the voicing of that source is altered in some way to make it more "analogue".
