You'll need a pair of plug in phono cards. Which type depends on your cartridge: MM or MC.

You'll also need to attach the BNC connectors that came with your 102. Alternatively, you can just get some RCA>BNC adapters. Naturally, the former option sounds better.

If from new you have never had a deck connected you may need to switch over a couple of links which switch from the last din input on the 102 over to the BNC connections.

Look inside the din closest to the BNCs has some subtle lines indicating if its connnected for din or BNC

I nave no idea if i have a mm or mc...
How can I know that?

Charles

ps: How much do phonocards cost?

The cards have numbers on them, off the top of my head the mc is called 52, but I may be wrong.

They are about £90 for a pair.

If you are on about the cartridge, post the name I am sure someone will know what it is.

If you already have cards in the 102 then they will be visable on the left hand side where the BNC input is, they are about 2 inchs by 3 inches and sit above the main board, one for each channel
If not then you will see the main board with four gold coloured points and a white peice of plastic each for each channel, waiting for the appropriate boards.

I have an old Pioneer vinyl player, and i don't have any cars in my Nac102.
I have bought BNC-RCA adapters to connect it.
Do i need MM or MC cards??

Hi Charlezz:

If the cartridge is the original, it's almost certainly MM.
