A Scanner Darkly

Took this in this afternoon, absolutely superb. Amazingly for an essentially mainstream release, it is very faithful to the book, more so than Bladerunner. No crass 'action-packed' blockbuster this. Dick's central ontological and metaphysical themes are skilllfully represented.
Great cast (Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr. Woody Harrelson and Winona Ryder), hallucinatory 'rotoscoping', typical Dick mind-bending plot and heart rending pathos (he really was a beautiful writer). Highly recommended.

Good news Malky, I've been trying to persuade Mrs W to go this weekend as the reviews have been very interesting. Sure ain't anything else worth seeing-and has seemed that way for months.

I also thought it was well done. Preferred Waking Life, though....

Cheers
