Equipment order on Fraim

Posted by: CraigP on 19 September 2003

Hello all,

After promising myself (and the girlfriend) I wouldn't spend any more money on HIFI this year (after originally going out in the Christmas sales to spend no more that £300 on an amp and CD player, and ending up a couple of months later with CD5, 112, 150, FC2, and Headline2 (damn you Naim audio)). I found what i considered to be quite a bargain. A Naim Fraim with base and 4 additional levels for £950, so out goes the Quadraspire and I pick the Fraim up tomorrow. When it comes time to sit the equipment on the Fraim, am i right in thinking best order would be.

CD5
112
Headline
150
FC2

Yours comments would be appreciated, as i dont want to balls it up and then have to do it again.

Many thanks

Craig

Not from audio t Neil, but it is black with the silver supports, hope it looks OK. Would probably have preferd the cherry, but am not paying another £900 for the privelledge. Its this one or no Fraim at all as i couldnt justify £1880 on a hifi support ever (unless i won the lottery etc.)

You could try this order:

fc 2
150
headline
112
CD 5

This I think would be(audibly)the best IMO

CD5
112
Headline
FC2
150

I much prefer the Power amp on the bottom as it's easier to dress NACA5 this way keeping it as far away from the signal cables.
