Bi-amp with the n-Vi

Posted by: Robbert on 09 March 2007

Just curious about a bi-amp thought's

because the n-Vi is 5 x 50 watt it seems to be a lesser amp.

BUT: if i got a two way speaker which you can bi-amp. Is it easy/possible to put 2 channels programming for the right and two channels programming for the left. so you can powering separate your tweeter with 50 watt and seperate your woofer with 50 watt.

And those 5th channel is for the sub woofer.

OR: is it only in stereo left and right 1 channel?

I hope you understand my question.

You can bi-amp the front channels only, utilizing the internal amp for L&R channels (say, LF), and an external stereo amp (for the HF).

The center, left surround and right surround amplifier channels are dedicated and cannot be re-assigned.

I have heard it said that the front centre channel is very important for speach in movie playback and as such, the amp feeding it should be as good as the front L/R amps.

Would bi-amping the front L/R upset this arrangement? or is it not important?

Cheers
